Breakfast served all day, great lunch and dinner options as well. Rustic atmosphere, decor nicely done for a hometown, woodsy feel. Christmas decor up is beautiful and the pan fried, trout, on the breakfast menu, was delicious, came with choice of side toast, pancakes, waffle.
The place is good, their portions are good and the service is ok. It is a restaurant that has been in Hermiston for a long time. It’s good to maintain those type of restaurants.
Massive portions. Rib steak was cooked perfectly. I went with a large group (10) and they were able to seat us immediately at lunchtime. They split the check 10 ways without issue and aside from a few minor mix-ups with drinks, the service was perfect (fast and friendly). Highly recommend, I would eat here again.
We’ve eaten lunch there on 3 separate occasions while traveling through the area on trips. The food and service is great!
I cannot say enough good things about Hale's. The food is delicious, the coffee is wonderful and the staff is friendly. We got our food very quickly. The atmosphere is delightful. I wish we lived closer and could come here all the time.
The food was amazing. No skimpy portion, it was more than I could eat! Servers were super helpful. Will go again if I get the chance! UPDATE: I have been back 2 additional times and loved it each time!!! I was defeated on my third visit and could NOT finish the food because there was simply too much! Even after I ate all that I could I still had too much to comfortably fit inside the takeout box! I also neglected to mention that the prices are VERY reasonable for the amount of food you are given. I love this place and if I am ever traveling through Hermiston in the future I will definitely eat here.
Hales is a wonderful family friendly restaurant. They have huge portions and we always have leftovers for the next day. All of the waitresses are kind and patient. *My 3 and 5 year old love to order their own food.* We just went with a group of 9 and I think it took us longer to be ready to order than from the time we ordered until we had our dinner.
On a road trip from Missouri to Harrison Tulip Festival in BC and now headed back to Missouri. Our awesome receptionist at our hotel recommend Hales. A great bit of food advice : ) Easy to find. Lots of parking behind restaurant. Front door has a few on street parking. We got the Pork Chop Dinner and the Chicken Fried Steak. The portions are massive. The plates are as big as my daughter in law's Mini Cooper steering wheel. Absolutely top quality home style cooking. Salad was so fresh and cold, just like out of the garden. Meat quality, top knotch. Homemade mash & gravy. Yummy. Our Waitress was a sweetie, funny and very helpful. We definitely entered as strangers and left as Friends. I highly recommend!
